St. Michael of Bleiburg, May 15, 2025 – The BMTS turbocharger plant in St. Michael of Bleiburg has reached a major milestone: today, the 15 millionth turbocharger since production began in 2012 rolled off the line. With more than 300 dedicated employees, the St. Michael facility is not only a major employer in Southern Carinthia, but also a dependable pillar of the regional economy.

Since its launch in 2010, BMTS in St. Michael has become a key manufacturing hub. Turbochargers produced here are used by leading automotive manufacturers around the world—a testament to the site’s high-quality standards, technological know-how, and the remarkable dedication of its team.

The remarkable event was celebrated with an internal ceremony recognizing the employees for their daily commitment and ongoing performance. As a special tribute to this achievement, a platinum turbocharger was built to symbolize the plant’s technological excellence.

In a message to the team, CEO Mark Wehner congratulated the staff on the anniversary: “Our employees are the heart of our success. Together, we’ve achieved this incredible production volume and remain focused on innovation and quality.”

Vivien Ducellier, President of BMTS Europe, and Roland Bräuer, Plant Manager in St. Michael and Director Europe, also highlighted the importance of this milestone: “This anniversary shows the strength and dedication of our team.
