BMTS Technology doubles production capacity at the Jinan plant

In response to increased customer demand and the positive outlook in the turbocharger industry, BMTS Technology expanded its production capacity at the Jinan plant in China. The yearly production capacity doubled from 0.8 million units/year previously to 1.6 million units/year. The new modules help BMTS to meet domestic customers’ requirements and provide more flexibility in response to fluctuations in the market demand.

Covid-19 pandemic constraints posed several challenges to the installation and commissioning schedule, e.g., foreign suppliers could not provide on-site support. Nevertheless, thanks to the great efforts of the local engineering team and remote support from the machine builder, the new modules were successfully commissioned at the end of February and are now being ramped up.

BMTS plant Jinan was opened in September 2019. It produces turbocharger components such as rotors.
