BMTS Technology opens new manufacturing plant in Mexico

Mexico is one of the world’s most important produc-tion sites for the automotive and supplier industry. Ideal conditions, skilled workforce and closeness to local customers make the country very attractive to industry players. Mexico is also an important location for BMTS Technology and its global strategy. Therefore, the global capacity is to be expanded in the new production facility in the Saltillo area, in the Mexican state Coahuila.

With its excellent automotive infrastructure, the region around Saltillo offers ideal conditions for the planned state-of-the-art production facility where exhaust gas turbochargers will be produced from spring 2019. For this, the new plant can access the global resources of the BMTS Technology Group. Certification to ISO 9001 and ISO / TS 16949 also ensures that the plant is proven to meet the high quality requirements of the automotive industry.

“The new plant in the Saltillo area will allow us to be more competitive in the North American market while responding to strong demand for fuel-efficient turbocharging technologies in North America with additional production capacity,” said Zhuojun Yang CEO of BMTS Technology. “Our new manufacturing facility in Saltillo is strategically located to meet growing customer demands through local production. We look forward to serving our customers on-site and to producing our high-quality products close to our North American customers.”

The new plant of BMTS Technology, close to Saltillo will start production in spring of 2019 and will employ around 500 employees. The new production facility starts with a capacity of about 1 Million turbochargers, produced for the North American market.
