Aleksandar Vučić, President of Republic of Serbia, visited BMTS Technology Novi Sad

BMTS Technology had the honor to host the President of Republic of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vučić, in Novi Sad, on Wednesday, 16th March.

Aleksandar Vučić, together with Igor Mirović, President of the Provincial Government, and Miloš Vučević, Mayor of Novi Sad, visited the production area where they had the opportunity to talk to BMTS employees and to gain insight into the production of turbocharger components.

On this occasion, Emmanuel Abba, Chief Manufacturing Officer of BMTS Technology, highlighted the good conditions found when the site was established and expressed his gratitude for the local support during the ramp-up and the creation of further employment opportunities.

He mentioned the global customer base that BMTS Technology has built over the years, which has made the company an established partner to the automotive industry. “In addition, we have a strong focus on future technologies in the automotive segment such as the Fuel Cell Booster, and Heat Pump System on the entry into the BEV Market (Battery Electric Vehicle). We are more than happy to have Serbia as a reliable partner in our future-oriented projects”, he continued.

BMTS Technology Novi Sad was established in 2019, and started production in 2020. The plant currently employs 200 highly qualified and motivated employees who have already successfully launched the first series projects. The site is growing steadily and will play a central role in BMTS’ European production network in the future. By 2026, BMTS Technology Novi Sad will produce around two million turbochargers annually and employ more than 500 people.
