Turbo engine evolution: BMTS Technology at the Vienna Motor Symposium 2022

»

In order to meet the growing need for mobility, the climate targets and the requirement that mobility must remain affordable in the future, openness in technology is required. Which powertrain systems could play which role in future mobility to meet these requirements is the core topic of the 43rd International Vienna Motor Symposium 2022, which will take place in Vienna from April 27-29.

Turbochargers are already contributing to making engines more efficient and powerful. How turbocharged engines can be developed further to achieve the challenging goals of automotive transformation is the topic of the joint presentation by BMTS Technology and Schaeffler Technologies at this year’s industry meeting.

Presentation April 29th, 2022:

Evolution of a Lean SPCCI Engine by Millerization and Electric Turbocharging

Dr.-Ing. N. S. Al-Hasan, Dipl.-Ing. J. Simader, Dipl.-Ing. (FH) S. Nibler, BMTS Technology GmbH & Co. KG, Stuttgart; Dipl.-Ing. A. Mayer, Dipl.-Ing. P. Müller, D. Hain MSc, Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG, Herzogenaurach
